I got this song from the soundtrack of the Movie Desperado , which Antonio Banderas sang . This won me over in a mariachi style audition at the original Antonio's Wells Branch location in 1996 . Rudy Mendoza put me in rotation and stayed that way for a few years . My kind of song ; with my Latino genes , it's only fitting .
