John Hiatt wrote so many songs that you know and love that it would be easier to mention the artists that didn't record any of them . Jeff Healey introduced this song to my welcome ears on his first LP . One of the top songs in my repertoire . Sadly , Jeff passed on to the fine-material dimension on March 2nd , this forever being a salute to him .
